Join us for a free screening of Chocolate Milk, a digital storytelling project by Elizabeth Bayne that shares video testimonials from Black mothers who have struggled and succeeded with breastfeeding. Discussion will follow led by Sabia Wade, The Black Doula and Founder of Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings, including a Q&A with documentary creator Elizabeth Bayne.
Join Certified Babywearing Consultant Starlita Kilpatrick of The Mama Connect for an in-depth demonstration of how to breastfeed while babywearing. As an ancestral and current day African practice, babywearing holds one of the keys to lactation equity and as Starlita says, Babywearing is (most definitely!) NOT a trend. Starlita’s demonstration will be useful both for new and experienced babywearers.
