This training is to support professionals gain tools to prevent postpartum challenges with their patients by resourcing to mental wellness, feeding knowledge, and partner communication tools. Four week virtual cohort includes: 2 hours per week of interactive live sessions on topics related to perinatal wellness and postpartum preparation, supplementary learning resources including articles and worksheets, tools for postpartum planning with clients, and six months of access to our course platform where you can continue to engage with course content .
Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of OHSU School of Medicine and Nurturely. The OHSU School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

We come to this work with combined experience as a doula, parent, partner, artist, and educator. We welcome you to this space, and are honored to create it with you! In alignment with our mission, our goal is to provide a container and access point for engaged resource sharing, deep discussion, and community building in preparation for the gifts and challenges of postpartum.
Mika Cade (R) is an expert doula, childbirth educator and student midwife, as well as a mama of two. Jessalyn Ballerano (L) serves as Program Coordinator at Nurturely and has been serving families as a doula and childbirth educator for a decade.
This course is for all professionals that work with pregnant people! Whether you are a birth worker, doula, healthcare provider, THW, nurse, we welcome you fully. We aim to affirm all racial identities, gender expressions, sexual identities, abilities, ages, nationalities and other identities. Anytime before the starting time if you want to attend the live sessions. If you are not able to join us for the live sessions, you can register afterwards for access to recordings and our learning platform.
The four weeks of content will include weekly meetings where we will share knowledge based on both Western science and ancestral wisdom. Outside of main sessions, there will be bonus content and opportunities to engage with the other participants to grow your support network.
