Milk Magic Foundations Training

Info sessions: Every third Monday at 12pm PST

Foundations Training:  4 week-series, offered annually

Milk Magic Educator Program Members receive the Foundations Training, online learning materials, private community support and monthly workshops featuring guest speakers, topical deep dives, and peer-to-peer development.

Anyone who is passionate about bodyfeeding and wants to support expectant parents in their community either in a peer or professionals role should become a Milk Magic Educator Program Member – Become a Member Today

Foundations Trainings take place over the course of four weeks in two-hour sessions online.

Positively Pregnancy: For Professionals

4-week professional training series focused on proactive solutions for a prepared postpartum period. Offered annually.

 

  • ~ Any health and wellness professionals who work with planning, pregnant or newly parenting clients.
  • ~ Anyone who wants to augment their skillset for supporting proactive postpartum health during and beyond the prenatal period.
  • ~ This training will help nurses, doulas, physicians, therapists, case workers, home visitors, bodyworkers and other health professionals to integrate the importance of preparing for the postpartum period and learn about specific supports, techniques, resources and approaches that may support the families they serve.

Each two hour session is facilitated by expert perinatal support providers and features unique content from guest speakers on a range of topics from physical recovery in the postpartum period to mental health for birthing people.

Participants will be able to continue their engagement outside of live sessions by viewing course content and multimedia in their private learning platform.

8 CE credits pending through OHSU. Certificate of attendance with contact hours and learning outcomes provided to all attendees to submit to your governing body for CEU credit. 

All sessions will be offered via the interactive Zoom meetings platform, and additional content, bonus videos and evaluations are made available through a private learning platform.

None – just a passion for supporting perinatal health and thriving for all families.


This training may be taken alone or in combination with our other trainings addressing the professional support of people in their perinatal journey and the central importance of equity and cultural humility in health care.

Enviro-Natal Health Equity

Presentations and panel discussion at the intersection of climate justice and perinatal health equity

This day-long event is offered annually, with relevant workshops and accountability opportunities for participants throughout the year.

This is a four-week series featuring expert facilitation and guest speakers from the fields of medicine, research, health systems, policy and community organizing for health equity. Offered annually.
